Vaughn Ray Buckley

Vaughn Ray Buckley arrived at Rays Rail station on May 18, 1940 in Idaho Falls Idaho to Vern C. Buckley & Mary Ellen Covert. 

He graduated from Davis High. He married Carolyn Jean Prue & later divorced. He then married Monika Mudrow & later divorced. He retired from Jetway systems FMC after over 40 years of employment. He survived raising 7 children with most of his sanity in tact! He was a lifetime member of the Mount Ogden archers where he won many awards. He enjoyed the competition & especially beating his boys. He enjoyed Dutch oven cooking. He belonged to several different square dance clubs where he made many friends that lasted a lifetime. He also belonged to the Golden Spike American flyer train club, the Hostler’s train club, and O-gage train club. Trains were a lifelong passion of Dad’s. He recently participated in the NMRA train show where the Golden Spike American flyer train club layout was an impressive 25’X 85’ display. Dad enjoyed building & flying model airplanes. He also enjoyed collecting & working on antique cars. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lawrence, Oreal, Lloyd & sister Pauline

. He is survived by brothers Wendell & Danny. He is also survived by his children Lori Breeden of Ogden, Mike (Teresa) of Roy, Troy Willard of Conn., Kevin (Tammy) of Clinton, Trent (Evelyn) of Brigham City, Teresa Smith of Ogden and Trever (Wendy) of Plain City. He has 14 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren. 

A viewing will be form 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Premier Funeral Services 5335 South 1950 West, Roy, UT 84067. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Franklin City Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho.
